Storing Your Stockpile

Now, where do you put your stockpile?  I know, you do not have a lot of space.  I don’t either.  But here are some ideas for you.

Put things close to where you will need them.  Place toiletries in the bathroom, under sinks, in the linen closet. Put your cleaners in the kitchen or bathroom, under sinks, in cabinets.  What about groceries?  Stash them in the kitchen, in cabinets, or in the pantry.

You may need to be creative.  You can purchase a stand-alone pantry. (I saw one in the sales as at Big Lots this week for cheaper than Target.)  Use Rubbermaid containers in your garage.  Install shelving in the laundry room.  Hide items in under-bed storage or suitcases.

If you are going to be keeping your stockpile here and there, you may need to keep a list so you will not forget where you put items.

Your Assignment/s:

(1) Sit down and brainstorm places in your home where you can keep your stockpile.  Make a list of things that you might need to do to make that happen (like cleaning out closets, buying shelving, etc.)  Post a comment to let us know about your creative ideas.  Someone else might need help… it might be me!

(2) Make it happen!  There will not be another lesson posted until Monday so you have the entire weekend to create space for your stockpile.

(3) Add ten items to your price book worksheet.

I made room on the bottom shelf of my pantry…I donated all that left over baby food and a couple cans of baby formula, put the candy into the snack box, and then before I knew it I had a whole shelf! My pantry looks so nice now. The space I cleaned off I know have put all the stuff I need for meals this week…its going to be great!!!
