Frugal Valentine: Balloons

frugal valentine's day ideas

Balloons are a great Valentine’s gift.  We tend to buy one helium tank each year and use the helium for balloons on birthdays and such. I think it saves money in the long run because we are not having to pay for helium per balloon and not having to run back and forth to the store.

Here are a few ideas on balloons for Valentine’s Day:

  • Hide a chocolate in each balloon before inflating.
  • Cut out heart shapes from red paper and write something romantic on each one.  Slip them into the balloons.
  • Spread a little love by attaching a postcard to your balloons with your address. Write a special note sharing peace or love or a Bible verse and add a note asking the person who finds the balloon to mail the postcard.  Find a quiet, romantic spot for your balloon release.
  • Instead of candlelight, fill a room with balloons and streamers.

What are your ideas for using balloons to make Valentine’s Day special?
