Last week was crazy! Appointments, a birthday, sick children… needless to say, we did not get as much school accomplished as I had hoped but I am learning to be more flexible and to keep school fun.
For Ruble, the week was all about the letter C.
C is for Caterpillar
Then, he made his own very hungry caterpillar and the thing kept growing and growing and growing. (Yes, his shirt is on backwards. He likes to wear his underware backwards too. I figure it is just a stage.)
C is for Cat
Inspired by a post from Making Learning Fun, I cut two paper plates into shapes that would allow Ruble to make a cat. I had hoped he would color it but he liked it white.
The only problem with using paper plates is that the tail would not stick. So, I dug out some brads that PennyMom had given us and attached the tail, giving it the bonus of wagging!
The wagging tail must have made Ruble’s paper plate cat look too realistic because our cat, Lucy, wanted some love.
So, Ruble gave her a little a-fur-mation.
Other things we did this week:
- Had a cupcake party for PennyMom’s birthday.
- Worked on identifying the different types of fruit using a printable from 1+1+1=1 (look under Letter A).
- Reviewed our verse for the week and song from Raising Rock Stars from 1+1+1=1.
