~ Ruble is 35 months old ~
La, la, la! Don’t you love the letter L? It is just luscious how it lingers on the lips. From ladybugs to lightning to lions and lambs, Ruble had tons of fun with it too.
L is for Leaves
I must admit that it was very convenient for us to be studying the letter L when the leaves started to chage their colors. (Thank you, Lord.) The inspiration of the colors around us and the book, Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf, helped shape this beautiful tree craft. Honestly, I ended up doing the yarn but Ruble did the leaves. I promise!
L is for Lightning
Little boys love to make noise so I took advantage of that fact and had Ruble make thunderstorm noises. (Please click through to view the video.)
He also used a worksheet from Education.com to do some weather matching. (The link is on the printable lesson plan below.)
That was a little difficult for him because he thought the lightning cloud and the tornado where the same. The shape is very similar.
L is for Lacing
Sometimes, if you are lacking in creativity, you just need to go to the kitchen!
This was not your momma’s lacing activity. Ruble had so much fun weaving the chenille stems in and out of the colander. And when it was done…
It made a great hat!!
And, Just for Fun…
We do love to play. I don’t always remember to get pictures of that because I am sitting criss-cross-applesauce on the floor with him.
I have seen this activity in several places but could never find Bill’s bag of golf tees. (Have I ever mentioned how unorganized we are?) So, on my last trip to Walmart, I actually remembered to grab a pack. Ruble loved hammering the tees into the styrofoam. Even Lira and Franc wanted to take a turn.
