I used to be a professional photographer. No… not really. I used to be an amateur photographer who wanted to be a professional photographer who could occasionally taks some really good pictures but only OUTSIDE. When it came time to take pictures inside, the photographs always looked washed out, flat, and ugly.
Each Christmas, I would try to capture a picture of our tree, shimmering with memories in the corner and casting a delicate glow on the wall behind it. Snap! went the flash and the picture looked like trash.
One day, I was combing the blogosphere and read a review about Professor Kobre’s Lightscoop. I was intrigued and decided that it was worth the small investment if I could bring new life to my priceless pictures. My photography was forever improved.
About Professor Kobre’s Lightscoop
The Lightscoop is an easy device that slip right on to your DSLR camera and redirects the light from the flash to soften the light in your pictures, eliminating the ugly washed-out look. Instead of the light from your flash striking your subject directly, the light is bounced off a wall or ceiling giving your photographs a more natural look.
Lightscoop fits on most digital SLR cameras: Olympus, Pentax, Panasonic Lumix, Nikon, Canon, Fuji FinePix, or Sigma or Sony dSLR.
What I love about Lightscoop
My indoor pictures have never looked this gorgeous.
Beautiful blog pictures
As a blogger, it is important that I have pretty pictures because that is what you guys – the readers – want to see. My food pictures need to look appetizing. The pictures of our projects need to be clear and without the distortion of ugly shadows and blurs.
Pretty pictures taken with the Lightscoop are just more PINteresting, and every blogger knows that getting something pinned on Pinterest is going to increase the traffic to your blog.
Quick and easy set-up
I do not need ANY added stress in my life.
As a mother, I want evidence years from now that my children were just as cute as I remember them being, but I do not have time to set up a ton of photography equipment. By the time I have strobes, umbrellas, and light boxes in the right place, the moment is gone and the children are off somewhere making mayhem.
Affordable solution
Professional photography equipment is expensive, and while the quality of my pictures is very important to me, I have a bazillion other needs for our income. The Lightscoop does not cost a fortune and can fit into any budget.
Buy It
Professor Kobre’s Lightscoop would make an excellent gift or stocking stuffer for the photographer in your family.
Lightscoop is available in standard (what I use) and warming. You can purchase them from the Lightscoop website individually for $29.95 or together for $55.
You can also purchase Lightscoop from Amazon.com.

A flash seems to give me (&my sons) red eyes too often…& also washes out my already pale skin. Maybe this would make more of my pictures look good?!
