Have you been participating in the $100 Week Grocery Challenge?
If you have been stuck in a rut for a while when it comes to menu planning on a budget or are brand new to having a grocery budget, these $100 Week Dinner Menus are going to help you tremendously.
Inside the zipped file are two documents.
- $100 Week Grocery Menus (Weeks One and Two)
- $100 Week Grocery Lists (Weeks One and Two)
The $100 Week Grocery Menus include seven dinner menus with links to the recipes as well as instructions for saving time by batch cooking and freezing what you can. You can also expect money-saving tips like making your own chicken stock.
Important notes about the menus and grocery lists
You need to know that these menus do not contain seafood as our family (read: I) do not like it. Feel free to make any changes but be sure to scratch off items from the grocery list as not to be confused when you get to the store.
Also, I HAVE included the pantry items on the grocery list so you can make sure you have an adequate supply on hand.
What the grocery list does NOT take into account is it you have leftovers from previous weeks. For instance, if you make Homemade French Bread on Week One and save a loaf for later, you can use that on Week Two instead of making an entirely new batch. The ingredients for making the bread are still included on the grocery list for Week Two. Make sure that you mark them off.

Christy says
I went way over on week 3 with $278, largely due to buying some things at the right time that will last for 1-3 months. But thankfully I stayed under for the average at $169 per week which comes under my budget of $175 for a family of 7.
One trick I used this week was block cheese. It does take a little extra time but tastier, moister and I’m more inclined to stretch a block of cheese so I don’t have to grate another one.
