We sat around the table making a list of foods that are both red and green. Then, we had to think about what would make a nutritious, well-rounded meal.
The final selections were for a salad (spinach, tomatoes, green bell peppers, red bell peppers, and cucumbers), spaghetti and meatballs, green and red apple slices, strawberry ice cream with Christmas M&Ms and green-tinted whipped topping.
We planned our centerpiece and thought about getting dressed in red and green. That was quickly dismissed.
When it came time to cook, well… Mommy was left alone with Ruble, who set the table for us.
It was a fabulous meal and even Bill asked if we could make it a tradition.
