Lira can tell time really well. However, recently we were talking about what time of day it is when particular events happen and she looked at me like a deer in headlights.
While I am not sure if this is an Autism thing or a 2nd grader thing, I wanted to improve this weakness. So, I printed out a very basic timeline of what we do and at what time. I hung them on the wall in order starting with a “Good Morning” and ending with a “Good Night.” Since the most predictable part of our day is during mid-day, I only charted those events. (Wouldn’t want to break the schedule and have a rage break out because I messed with her mind.)
I recommend hanging a clock near by so that the children can compare the time of day to the events they see depicted.
