As a recovering rage-o-holic, I have learned to use Essential Oils to help when I feel my body tense. By taking a break and applying the oils or just breathing directly from the bottle, I get the rejuvenation I need to realign my thoughts and react calmly.
Essential Oils to Use for Anger Management
Peace and Calming
An essential oil blend of Tangerine, Orange, Ylang Ylang, Patchouli, and Blue Tansy, Peace and Calming reduce depression and promote relaxation. To help with anger management, diffuse Peace and Calming, drop into bath water, or use it as perfume.
Other uses for Peace and Calming Essential Oil Blend include treating insomnia and soothing nerves. Refer to page 185-186 of the Reference Guide for Essential Oils to view a complete listing of the benefits.
Ylang Ylang
Helping to dispel anger, Ylang Ylang Essential Oil can be diffused or applied to the feet. I often place it on my spine at my lower back when my anger is related to PMS.
Other uses for Ylang Ylang Essential Oil include treating anxiety, lowering blood pressure, releasing frustration, and more. Refer to page 131 of the Reference Guide for Essential Oils to view a complete listing of the benefits.
Roman Chamomile
If conversation is difficult without angry outbursts, Roman Chamomile can be diffused or applied over the throat. Roman Chamomile helps bring emotional balance and stabilize anger.
Other uses for Roman Chamomile Essential Oil include treating allergies, cleanse the blood and liver, calm crying children, and more. Refer to page 57-58 of the Reference Guide for Essential Oils to view a complete listing of the benefits.
Lavender
Because Lavender is soothing and calming, I use Lavender to help release tension and angry feelings by inhaling straight from the bottle or by rubbing into the back of my neck.
Other uses for Lavender Essential Oil include treating allergies, lowering blood pressure, reducing indigestion, alleviating nausea, and much more. Refer to page 87 of the Reference Guide for Essential Oils to view a complete listing of the benefits.

Is this mix for anger management or another issue?
Julie says
Vetiver is wonderful for calming kids with behavior issues. I have 2 girls with ADHD, and I roll it right under their noses each morning. I’m hoping they will eventually transition completely off meds, and we will just be using oils.
