July is typically the month when our lives start to pick up as we head into fall and back to school, but of course, this year is different.
Every day has been full of questions and the only certainty in my life right now is the evening arrival of the UPS truck.
I wish I was kidding.
Does anyone feel guilty every time the big brown truck pulls up? I mean, does the UPS driver hate me because he has to stop by almost every day or does he love me because I give him job security? These are things I wonder every time he drops, knocks, and dashes.
So, what has UPS brought me lately? Take a look:
Elongated Self Watering Planter Pots Window Box – I purchase a ton of fresh herbs because I have a very black thumb. Every time I try to grow a garden, I end up spending more money than I would ever save by growing my own produce. Then I stumbled upon this planter that has a self-watering system. Surely, I can master this! I’ve started with just one little mint plant and it’s been alive for three weeks. If I can keep it alive a little longer, I plan to buy a second planter (because two will fit perfectly on my kitchen window sill) and grab a few more herb plants from the local grocery store.
Sleep Restoration Gel Pillow (2 Pack King) – While on our socially distanced vacation to Lake Martin, Alabama, my husband and I fell in love with the pillows at our condo. The hubs was so determined to replace our lumpy, flat pillows at home, he took off the pillowcases and looked up the brand. These beauties are amazing! Here’s hoping they stay are awesome as the reviews promise.
Priority Chef Potato Ricer and Masher – I have always wanted a potato ricer and with Thanksgiving coming up ( <<— Wishful thinking for a normal holiday seasons), I decided to buy one and give it a try. If you love silky, smooth mashed potatoes, you will love this handy tool.
Villa Acacia Large Wooden Cheese Board and Pizza Board – Totally a frivolous purchase (plus I needed it as a prop for my photography business), but I love this board so much. Look at how pretty it is all dressed our for a pancake breakfast…
Other Favorite Deliveries
Walmart Grocery (Yes, groceries!) – When quarantine started, we transitioned from picking up our groceries from the curbside at Walmart to having them delivered. After a few weeks of trying it out, I went ahead and paid for the annual plan. It’s so nice to grocery shop from my phone and then have the groceries show up on my front porch.
Do you use Walmart grocery pick up? Have you tried having your groceries delivered? I would love to know what you think.
Kohl’s – I am still collecting Kohl’s Cash from the safety of home and use it to browse clearance for kids clothes. Gosh! These children are growing so fast, and Kohl’s clearance always has something. Stack on an extra discount code (that seem to always be available) and the savings are HUGE.
For instance, through August 2, 2020, use promo code FAMILY to save an extra 20% while getting $10 in Kohl’s Cash for every $50 spent.
So I was able to pick up these cute Cuddl Duds pick unicorn pajama set for less than $9!
