2nd Grade Workboxes This Week: Counting by 9

Share & Help Me Grow

I don’t have a lot of epiphanies. Nope. Just doesn’t happen often… but when it does! BAMM!

I was working on Franc’s X-Sounds book (which I will show you tomorrow) and it occurred to me that Lira would want to make a book too. So, I sifted through my stack for her and realized that she could make a “Skip Counting by 9’s” book. (Am I obsessing over the nines? Probably.)

I cut a file folder into an outline of the number 9 and then used a black permanent marker to add the details.

Lira used the Do A Dot markers to put nine dots on the front.

Lira cut the numbers apart which gave her some much-needed cutting practice and then she glued them into the folder in order.

And this was her finished product! She loved it and wants to do a book for each set.

What has your 2nd grader done this week?

About Tabitha

Hi! I'm Tabitha! But, I bet you expected someone named "Penny." Long story made short, Penny is the coupon binder I started in 2010 when we were totally broke... as in BANKRUPT. Now, as a mom of five, I make 6-figures a year working at home and share ways to help you move from penny to profit while you raise a family with sense on cents.
