I loved Palm Sunday as a child. We would make fronds to wave and enter the auditorium shouting, “Hosanna! Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.”
Over the last few years, my children have brought some creative Palm Sunday crafts home from Sunday School.
Easter Lily
This “lily” is the hand of your child, curled gently around a yellow chenille stem and attached to a green straw. Everything is attached with clear tape but Glue Dots would work equally well.
Hosanna Shaker
To make this Hosanna Shaker for Pam Sunday, just cut out the middle of a styrofoam plate. Punch holes to attach curling ribbon and tape crepe paper streamers to the plate. Add foam stickers to finish the project.
The Simplest Palm Craft
But, then there was the year we were sick on Palm Sunday and I had to make the craft…
I keep telling you guys that I am not creative, but this was very easy. Just trace your child’s hands on green paper and attach to another strip of green paper. For stability, you might prefer to attach the paper hands to a wooden dowel.
