If you plan on shopping at Target this holiday season, I have four ideas that will help you save even more money.
1) Sign up to receive emails.
Never miss a deal when you receive email notifications from Target. In fact, they are saying that their email subscribers will “be the first to know about Cyber Week deals.”
2) Check the coupons list.
Before you head out the door, browse the coupons available. Many store coupons are available and you can stack those coupons with a manufacturer’s coupon for extreme coupon savings. (See the official Target coupon policy for details.)
They also have coupons for their store brand products.

3) Get the REDcard.
The Target REDcard debit and credit cards are free, no-fee cards that give the consumers a wide array of shopping benefits. To kick things off, we’ll be paying $30 per approved application. After the first year, the payout will be $20, so act now! Below are additional details about the program:
- 5% off every day
- Free shipping at Target.com
- Extended returns — 30 extra days
- Up to 1% of purchases go to school you designate
- The online application process for debit and credit has immediate approval except for some debit applications which will require a few days to confirm bank account
While I cannot recommend a credit card, the REDcard Debit looks like a money-saver!

4) Match prices.
Remember that Target will match prices. Take your sales ads with you as you shop but if you shop now and find a lower price before December 21st, don’t worry! target will refund your difference. Just take in the original Target receipt when requesting the price match with your sales ad.
Please note that the product must be the identical item, brand name, size, weight, color, quantity and model number.
Target also has an app called Cartwheel that lists deals that can be stacked with the other discounts you mentioned.
Target also takes 5 cents off your total for EACH target reusable shopping bag you use. We keep ours in the trunk and just grab it before going in the store.
