The nominees for the 8th Annual Homeschool Blog Awards have been announced and once again, I must confess that I have the BEST readers in the world because you guys have blessed my socks off by nominating me in the following categories (linked to the voting page for that category):
- Best Encourager – I almost cried when I saw my name on this list. I try so hard to be an encouragement to you and I pray for you often. You guys are my extended family. Thank you for honoring me with this nomination.
- Best Crafts Plans & Projects – My love of Pinterest comes in handy, huh? I am glad you enjoy peeking into the fun we have as I create unit studies and printables. I want my children to love learning because I feel like if I accomplish that, they will learn forever.
- Best Variety Blog – This category makes me giggle because they compare the blogger that fits as an ADD, jumps from one project to the next blogger. If you know me in real life, you are nodding your head. I can’t help it. My brain never stops. I love so many different things and want to share them all.
- Best New Homeschool Blog – Being one of the new kids on the block can be scary, but I have been so blessed to be mentored by several veteran bloggers. They answer my questions, share their constructive criticism, and help promote my posts when asked. Thank you so much for nominating me in this category. I feel like I am getting the ultimate nod of approval.
- Best Thrifty Homeschool Blog – Okay, true story. When I first went through the list for this category, I was kind of surprised that I was not on it since my blog is dedicated to balancing time, family, and BUDGET. Bill and I kind of scratched our heads and then shrugged. It is, after all, reader’s choice. Then, the next day when I was going to vote for my personal favorites, I noticed my name at the bottom. {blush} I’m so embarrassed.
In total, the HSBA hosts 20 award categories and I want to encourage you to vote for all your favorite blogs. You can vote once per day per device, so if you love your bloggers a lot, set a reminder on your phone or put a post it on your computer to remind you to vote every day.

Surfing through the Homeschool Blog Awards Nominees. You are another blog I would not have guessed was a new blog. They had some problems, probably due to the storm that result in some nomination forms not being processed. Mine wasn’t but one email got things fixed. They told me they had had a couple of such emails and were adding in those nominees. So you probably were not on the Thrifty one the previous day. You’re eyesight is fine.
Yeah! I’m not crazy. LOL Thanks for letting me know, Chris. My home here at Meet Penny started in January 2012. I blogged elsewhere before that but this new spot on the blogosphere makes it new… I guess. 😉
