Whether you homeschool or send the children to school, back to school time can be a difficult adjustment. Prime the kids with a free printable back to school countdown.
We often use a countdown to get the children ready for birthdays and other special celebrations, but instead of a regular construction paper chain, I decided to print back to school borders on a page and then cut them into strips. Then, I took the landing image and pasted it to a piece of construction paper.
For some reason, the children are not as excited about this chain as one counting down to an event where they are going to get presents. Ha, ha. I wonder why?
But hopefully it will help make our transition a little easier.
The printable includes a generic educational image and a school image so you can choose which landing will be most appropriate for your family. I wanted both my homeschool and school friends to be able to use it.
If you don’t like those options, create your own and personalize the back to school countdown for the first day of “whatever” grade.
