When I was contacted by Moody Publishing about there newest releases, Cassie and Caleb Discover God’s Wonderful Design and Parenting with Scripture, I knew these would be GOOD. Maybe I am a little biased towards the books Moody Publishers print because I tend to love everything they produce.
Cassie and Caleb Discover God’s Wonderful Design
In this delightful book, children will learn the truth of Scripture while finding that Scripture is very relevant today. Children will gain an understanding of Christian worldview… even though they might not know what a worldview is.
The colorful illustrations are perfect for visual learners, and you could easily take these stories and use them to create real experiences for your kinesthetic learners.
Although targeted for ages 5 to 8, I think this book would be applicable up to age 10.
Parenting with Scripture: A Topical Guide for Teachable Moments
Bill and I have always tried to encourage our children to obedience with Scripture. Our ultimate goal is to raise children who love the Lord, serve Him, and have a firm understanding of why they believe what they believe. With Parenting with Scripture, you can take the moments when your child is being good (or bad) and turn those situations into lessons that will build Biblical character and comprehension.
Parenting with Scripture is constructed to include a virtue or characteristic, the corresponding Scripture, discussion points, and a way to put learning into action. Some of the topics include parental tips too.

The most difficult part of being a Godly parent is being patient and controlling my emotions when disciplining, I think.
Consistency is my hard point. I find that I’m trying to teach my children what I’m also trying to learn. And that’s pretty humbling. :S
these resources look awesome!
Knowing if the choices I make are the right ones!
having a big family , the hardest part are those days wen your sick or tire and so for your defend is low . those are the times i have the hardest
times to be Godly
Not loosing my cool. Living a good example!
My own sin!
The most difficult part of being a godly parent is when I lose my temper. It just kills the “godly” part out of “godly parent.” They know I need God because I’m not all put together. I don’t like to be leading from my brokenness.
The most difficult thing is in setting an example, especially when things are going wrong. It gets easier with experience and spending more time with God.
Thanks for hosting this give away…Could really use some help in this area!
I would say being consistant!
I need to work on patience.
remembering to take time for my own personal devotional time.
The most difficult part of being a godly parents is that I don’t consistently turn to scripture (at this time) when misbehaviors occur. Honestly, I don’t always speak in a gentle way and I am not always modeling good character traits. I need to remember to trust in the Lord.
Helping kids to learn Biblical character traits in a natural way.
The most difficult part of parenting is responding in a godly way to my children’s disobedience.
I would love to win this for my family.
The hardest part about being a godly parent for me is just staying God-centered/Christ-focused ALL the time. My carnal self (lazy, selfish, impatient) is always getting in the way. I want to reflect Jesus in everything I do, so my children can see Him working through me and be drawn to Him.
This looks awesome! The hardest part is responding in a Godly way. I want to set a good example all the time, but feel like I fail so much.
I try to keep Proverbs 15:1 at the forefront of my mind. “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.”
The most difficult part? Giving grace- to my kids, to my husband, to others, to myself!
The most difficult part is trying to be a good example and having patience.
