Last year, I had so much fun brainstorming teacher gift ideas for Teacher’s Appreciation Week.
One of my favorite ideas was creating a floral arrangement using erasable white board markers. This Expo Marker teacher gift idea is simple and cute… And I have a free printable for you below.
And before you wonder, I even made these work for male teacher gifts because my oldest had an amazing man for her teacher.
Seriously, guys need Expo Markers too.
Expo Marker Teacher Gift
Swing by the Dollar Store because for this “Bloom” teacher gift idea, you will need:
- flower pot with a wide mouth
- floral foam to fit the pot
- shredded green paper
- Expo Markers
- brightly colored construction paper
- flower punch
- black pen or marker
- gift tape
- free printable (below)
First, place the floral foam in the bottom of your flower pot. I picked these aluminum containers at Michaels because of the cute chalkboard area and the wide top.
Without the floral foam, the Expo Markers will not stand up, but the shredded paper covers the foam well and gives the resemblance of grass.
Once the Expo Markers are nestled into their little bed of green, you can punch flowers from colorful paper.
I was using the paper I had to punch multiple flowers from various colors and then stack them. Some of the petals I folded upward to keep them from looking flat. Then, I added little dots to the center of the flower on top.
After gluing the layers together, I created a tiny ball of tape to attach the flowers to the tops of each Expo Marker.
At the Dollar Tree, I discovered a package of butterfly picks. I tucked one butterfly into each bouquet as a finishing touch.
After typing up a little sign to attach, the gift was ready.
“Thank you for helping me bloom.”
It isn’t an original saying but I created a unique printable you can use. Just subscribe using the form below and the printable will be emailed to you.
Cut it out and decorate any way you want.
