Getting the Angries Out

Anger management for children

One of the joys of having a child with Autism is the anger that can come with it. (Note the sarcasm?) Unfortunately, since Lira is the oldest, when she acts out her brothers watch and imitate. In order to keep my head on straight and to get some assistance in helping the children deal with their disruptive behavior, we see a therapist every other week.

Last week, she showed us something amazing that I just have to share with you.

We watched a short, animated film online called Squeeze Your Angries Out. It is fantastic and has really helped the children understand what to do when those angry feelings explode inside. I have to admit… the sequence helps me too.

The entire website is packed with anger management tools for people of all ages and situations. So, if you, your child, or someone you know struggles with anger, pass it along.

About Tabitha

Hi! I'm Tabitha! But, I bet you expected someone named "Penny." Long story made short, Penny is the coupon binder I started in 2010 when we were totally broke... as in BANKRUPT. Now, as a mom of five, I make 6-figures a year working at home and share ways to help you move from penny to profit while you raise a family with sense on cents.
