On this Thanksgiving, I am grateful for you! Wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving weekend.
Today, our family has yet another reason to be thankful… thankful that the weeks ahead will not involve cancer treatments. If you are not following Meet Penny on Facebook, you may not know that I developed a large, multinodular goider on my thyroid. It is so large that I cannot swallow food and can see it on the outside of my neck. The doctor was very concerned that the lump was cancerous but test results show that it is probably not. Since I also have thyroiditis and hyperthyroidim, I will be seeing an endocrinologist for more tests and perhaps surgery when his office opens after the Thanksgiving weekend. For those of you who are praying, I want you to know that prayer works. I have been calmer since I asked for prayer and confident that everything was going to work out according to God’s will.
I am very thankful for YOU, each and everyone of you! Whether you realize it or not, YOU are a tremendous blessing to me. I never take the rapid growth of this blog for granted because I know that each number is a real person. I pray for you and feel as if you are my extended family. Thank you for being in my life, even if on the other side of the computer screen. You matter to me. Even more, you matter to God.
Have a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving!

Looking for Weekend Potluck?
In order to spend time with our families, we have decided not to have Weekend Potluck this week, but if you need some eye-candy, you can always go back and browse last week’s party. Don’t worry either! We will be back next week.

I am glad it looks like it isn’t cancerous and hope that you have a good thanksgiving and a good week of maybe having it removed and getting back to a normal life.
Penny says
Thank you so much, Skirnir. I am actually looking forward to the tests and procedures this week, knowing that I will be closer to having this behind us. 🙂

I got choked up while reading through this. :-} I’m praising our wonderful Lord for your good news and am excited for you to get the testing behind you as well. Trust you enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving day and are laying low for the weekend. How awesome you were able to eat some good food yesterday! Take good care Dear. XO
