Once you have your Gourmet Apples ready to decorate, you can proceed as follows.
Needs:
- Red Candy Coating for cap
- Milk Chocolate Morsels or M & Ms for eyes
- Mini Marshmallows for cap
- Red candies, such as M&Ms or Red Hots for nose
- Flaked Coconut for hair and beard
- Nesquik powder, optional
How to Make a Santa Gourmet Apple
Coat with apple with white chocolate instead of milk chocolate. Chill completely.
Use red candy coating to shape Santa’s hat. I apply it with a small pastry brush or spreader. Press a marshmallow into the tip of the cap while the candy coating is still wet. Chill completely.
Using melted white chocolate, coat Santa’s face except for his eye/nose area. Working quickly, press coconut into the melted chocolate to form his hair and beard.
Then, add Santa’s eyes and nose with more melted white chocolate.
As for the Nesquik, you can sprinkle him and smudge Santa’s cheeks to make a fun and unique “Dirty Santa” gift.
Santa is sure to please that person who has everything. He is just as cute as he is yummy and makes and awesome gift. Enjoy!
