You might have seen the advertisement in my sidebar promising free menu planning for life from Food on the Table when you use promo code SPRINGFREE… but were you wondering if it was a real deal? Well, I decided to try it out.
First, entered my email address and selected a password. The next screen prompted me to select my favorite stores from a map of my area. I chose my local Winn Dixie, SuperTarget, and Publix.
Then, I set my food preferences.
My family is pretty easy to please, so I chose everything but seafood. I was impressed that there is also a section for you to input your dietary restrictions such as gluten-free or low fat.
The next step was to compare store sales. I really thought this was a misplaced step. To me, I would think this step would come later and I skipped on by.
On the next page, I was able to select recipes to build a meal plan. The recipes are categorized by the main ingredient and marked when the ingredients are on sale in your area. I liked that there was a rating system so I could see what other people thought about the recipes.
As I saw something my family would enjoy, I clicked “add” and the recipe appeared under “This Week’s Plan.”
After building my plan, I was able to view my grocery list and delete the items I already had on hand. The list also allows you to add additional items.
Where a lot of menu planning services require that you print your list, Food on the Table allows you to decide how you want to receive your list. For iPhone users, you never have to worry about leaving your grocery list at home again.
And, just in case you were wondering if you could really save money by using Food on the Table, you are given affirmation of your savings before you even leave for the store.
If you are looking for a way to simplify your life, I recommend signing up for Food on the Table. Please note that the promo code SPRINGFREE is only valid until April 30th. Sign up today.

That sounds like a really useful tool! I tried signing up but the offer isn’t available in my area (Canada.) Oh well! Thanks for sharing, anyways 🙂
What a bummer, Savannah! I’m sorry about that.
