How to participate at a Facebook Party

Tomorrow night is the Mommy Time Facebook Party! Sounds like fun, right? But, if you have been wondering what a Facebook party is or how to participate, this is for you!

Facebook parties typically give you a way to ask questions and get answers from experts and other people just like you. At the same time, you can enter giveaways and make new friends.

Here is how the typical Facebook party works ~

What is a Facebook party

Like the page

First, visit the page (or pages if the party is going to move around) and LIKE the Facebook page. You want to be able to post your questions as well as offer any suggestions you have for the other people who are asking questions.

Watching from a distance is always welcomed, but posting your questions and comments really helps you get the entire benefit of the party.

How to attend a Facebook party

If you are not seeing everything being posted, click the “Highlights” drop-down box and select to view “Post by Page” or “Posts by Others” according to your personal preference.

Enter to win prizes

When a giveaway is announced, click through the link and enter to win, following the directions outlined by that blog. Some use an easy contest form called “Rafflecopter” while other bloggers and companies prefer that you just leave a comment. I have even seen a few that prefer you email them.

Refresh the page

Click to refresh the page often. Conversations are easier to track on a Facebook party than at a Twitter party but you do have to reload the page frequently.

I personally love Facebook parties and have won some great prizes by attending, but my favorite part about Facebook parties is getting to know other people who are similar to me and the brands who design the products I love.

Have you ever attended a Facebook party?

About Tabitha

Hi! I'm Tabitha! But, I bet you expected someone named "Penny." Long story made short, Penny is the coupon binder I started in 2010 when we were totally broke... as in BANKRUPT. Now, as a mom of five, I make 6-figures a year working at home and share ways to help you move from penny to profit while you raise a family with sense on cents.
