So often I hear people say, “I just do not know how to cook.” Well, I am determined to de-mystify this science that intimidates so many by showing how simple cooking can be because cooking and eating at home is the best way to shave money off your budget.
While I am sharing recipes and tips with you, I will also be teaching Bill to cook.
He actually wants to learn to cook and for Father’s Day, the kids (with some coaxing from Mommy) got him How to Boil Water. I let him go through an pick out a few things to try and put them on our menu.
If he can learn to cook… you can too!
Tips for learning to cook
- Follow a recipe. Read it all the way through before you start and make sure you understand all the steps first.
- Have the correct tools. Bill cracks me up when he uses liquid measuring cups for dry ingredients and vice versa. You didn’t know there was a difference? Don’t worry. We will get there.
- Don’t rush and please don’t plan to invite people over right away. Give yourself some time to get adjusted.
That’s it. Cooking is easy.
