When our family goes on vacation along the Alabama Gulf Coast, we still cook. We might have a getaway to the beach but we cannot get away from the kitchen.
By finding accommodations where we can cook our own meals, we are able to afford more adventures. We do relax our eating style though and use a few more convenience foods than we normally would. As Franc would say, we “eat all the good stuff.”
Here is what our menu plan looks like on vacation.

The best things about splurging a little on the groceries while away is that the children know it was acceptable on vacation and those habits do not follow us home.
