I sincerely think the people of Home Educating Family are brilliant. This company strives to always be on the cutting edge of what homeschooling families need and they have created a masterpiece again!
Introducing the new My Well Planned Day software!
If homeschool lesson plans drive you insane, let the My Well Planned Day software help you.
With the software, you can set up each of your students and the curriculum you are using. Then, you can put in the number of assignments and let the software place those lessons on the days your student should study. So simple.
One of my favorite features of the homeschool module is that Home Educating Family has connected the curriculum to their vast collection of reviewed studies so you can use the searchable database to pull up the curriculum you are using. No need to take a picture and upload it. If you use a curriculum with which they are familiar, all of that work is done for you.
While I am a big supporter of lesson plans, my favorite parts of the software have nothing to do with homeschool.
My favorite things
- Family Communication Center – If you have older students or practice self-directed study, the family message board can help keep your family on the same page.
- Budgeting – Place your budget right inside the software. No need for an additional budgeting system.
- Calendar – Have a busy family calendar? Get it together with My Well Planned Day.
- Chores – Add chores to each child’s assignments for the day.
- Menu – Menu planning has never been easier. Just plug in your weekly or monthly menu right into the computer.
- Memories – Coming soon! (I need this!)
- Projects, Shopping, To Dos – Your entire life can be combined right into the planning software.
- Price – When you consider all the additional planners and notebooks that this will replace, the price is very affordable especially with the discount code available. (See below.)
- Apps – Soon, you will not need to be tied to the computer to access the software because My Well Planned Day is getting mobile.
The system is so simple to use, but if you are intimidated, they have an amazing list of video tutorials to guide you through every aspect of the software.
What I don’t like
The system is still in BETA mode which means there are a few kinks that need to be adjusted. However, support is very prompt and they strive to help you work out any issues in a speedy, helpful manner. Customer service is definitely a priority with Home Educating Family.

I virtually live on a computer. I would LOVE this, especially being able to “copy and paste” repetitive lessons.
Tessa W says
I think the menu part would see most use. I really don’t enjoy making meals but they are ever so important!
Kelly Lescarini says
WOW!! This looks amazing!!! As I am always on the computer anyway, this seems like it will tie in all the important items into one place!!
Bridget says
We are new to all this, this year with 4. I would love something easy to plan my weeks out and to have my dinner menu would be icing on the cake. I would use all of it!!!!!!! Thanks for the opportunity!!!
Jaime says
I would love to win this! Just what I’ve been looking for!
Kellye says
I am not sure which section of the program I would not use. Maybe that is the question you should have asked. I love this program! I believe it would be a perfect fit for our homeschool, budgeting, project planning, family meals, family life!! The thought of easily organizing and referencing in one program is WONDERFUL! WOW!
Kellye says
I love all the programs! I can’t imagine what I would not use. I think the Well Planned Day software program would be a perfect fit in our lives. WOW! I love the appearance and flexibility of the entire program. Thanks for posting the giveaway!! 🙂
I tried to comment once, so I apologize if this is a second post. I wanted to make sure there was a comment. 🙂 Thanks!! 🙂

I’ve had my eye on this all summer. I would really like a chance to check it out. Thank you for the opportunity.
Maria F says
I need a calendar that has ALL of our info – homeschool info, household cleaning and other info, meal planning, budgeting, etc – it is a balancing act! I am excited that I would be able to access that info online at any of our home computers as well as my iPhone. Right now I carry around 2 binders – around the house as well as when I am out. Thanks for the giveaway!
Jen says
I have used the Well Planned Day binder for a few years and love it. Next year I will have 5 school age children, and would love to have everything on the computer!
Angela says
Lesson planning…and well everything if it will help keep me from going crazy!! 🙂
Katie says
The whole program looks awesome! I think I would use the homeschool portion he most.
Jenn says
I oohed and ahhhhed over this when it came up for Beta Testing. I waited until the very last minute, but decided it just wasn’t in the budget, especially for Beta. I love the idea. It looks very pretty and I could definitely use the help in getting my stuff organized! It’s a great giveaway and coupon. Thanks for sharing it!
Melissa jenkins says
Great idea.
Amber A. says
I would use the lesson planning and the calendar the most!
Patricia McBay says
I think I would use the daily planning and homeschooling portions the most. My son is just now at the age to really begin preschool activities, and I think this would help me develop some structure into teaching him his letters and numbers, etc.
Cindy N. says
I would say the calendar and lesson planning would be the most used by me but of course the whole thing looks fabulous!
rebecca says
My hope is to make use of the entire system, but my purpose for searching for a planner is to get out school in order! Having 4 on all different levels – I’m needing a new way to organize!
Jenny says
I could really use this! I’m in!
Beth says
I would love to check this out. My husband would love to see me use an electronic planner but I have yet to find one that I love.
sharon k. says
Love this! Thank you so much for your generosity! 🙂
Miranda says
menu planning and the calendar section!
Melanie says
HaHa! This would shut my husband up about all the strewn paper (my random thoughts) on the desk, beside my bed, in the bathroom, on the back of the couch, and on top of shelves. I could tech it up a notch! Go me, if I win 🙂 Oh I voted earlier this year on the design for this software (purple, blue flowers…tranquil to me). Between school and grocery/meal planning is where I spend most of my time–
Jenny D. says
I will use it most for lesson planning. This looks great! I hope I win!
jeanine says
i would most enjoy the chore part! we need to be more organized in this area.
mamabeck says
The part I’d enjoy the most is the school planning in a more visual format than what I currently use. HST+ drives me nuts most days…but it works, and tracks what I need for High School courses for my oldest, and activities for my youngest
Rebecca says
I love that I can organize our school days as well as many other areas of life. This seems like it would be perfect for me!
Lowrie says
I love that I could use this for lesson planning for all 4 kids! and all of the other things too. Looks great!!
Lynnea says
I love the idea of having all of my “stuff” in one place! If the lesson plans could tell me what the kids need to work on at the same time it reminds me of my “to-do’s” and what our schedule is like for the day/week, that would just be awesome!
Becky Milstead says
I would definitely use the lesson planning the most. 🙂
Tracie B says
I have used the WPD before & love it!
Stacie Greene says
The WPD sounds great!!! Just what I need in all this craziness!!
Cheryl Cole says
I homeschool 5 kids right now and 4 are teens. I could so use this prograam. I also run a business at home. I would use this quiet often if I won. I will keep my fingers crossed1
Angie says
This would be such a jewel to win! Been at this whole plate juggling thing for 17 years but it has gotten worse in the past 4 with 3 kids, husband, troop coordinator, awana director, children’s church teacher, homeschool momma! I can’t seem to get it together… *sigh*

Carol says
Hello!
I am new to homeschooling (just started our official pre-k year last month) and the planning and scheduling has been the hardest! Partially, I believe, because I am creating my own curriculum this year; I know where my DS needs to be to start our kindergarten year but he could start that now!! Anyways, this would be awesome to win & to help me getting going in the right direction. Thanks! Carol
Shannon says
Would LOVE to win a year subscription. I don’t know what I would use most. I LOVE to try the menu plan, plan assignments, and the family connection center.
rosita tupper says
I would use the lesson planning

I wanted to share this with those thinking about purchasing the online planner. I have to say, sadly, that I am not a fan. I wanted to be. We purchased the online program. However, since we were forced to start late (we are working overseas and just received our curriculum), I didn’t realize there was a technical issue which prevents us from using the online program until it was too late. I was told it was past the “30 day” mark for a refund, and no one in IT is helping us. The 30 day refund is listed in the FAQ section, and was not in any of the online receipts I received. What’s worse, they can see that we have done nothing with the program, since it is online, and customer service doesn’t seem to care. So, I am honestly not trying to “cheat the system” or anything like that. I needed help and all I have gotten is a “You can’t have a refund,” note, and that’s it. However, I guess it is a “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me,” situation. I will not buy from this company again. So, please, be careful because 50.00 is a lot to pay for something that doesn’t work. Also be aware of the 30 day refund period if you end up purchasing the product.
Jenny says
Good morning, Debbie. Just wanted to let you know to watch your email for a note from customer service. I was informed they would be contacting you.

Are you still using MWPD? I, like you, loved this at first but after almost two full school years of trying to make this software work for me I am ready to throw in the towel. It is still not a fully functioning online planner. Have you had others share this experience? I would love to see some online reviews that are more recent than fall of 2012. Thanks for your thoughts.
