Special Savings Situations
Extra Care Bucks (ECB)
Extra Care Bucks are similar to Walgreens RRs but require a store loyalty card. You can obtain two store loyalty cards per household. These are available at the register.
Like the RRs at Walgreens, ECBs print after the transaction is complete but instead of printing as a separate catalina, they print on the bottom of your receipt.
The number of times you can work an ECB deal varies but the limit is always listed in the sales advertisement. Your eligibility for each deal will print out on the bottom of you receipt, making it easy to track.
Using multiple ECBs as payment within a single transaction is allowed and there are no requirements for balancing the number of items against the number of coupons you use.
In this example, if you spend $15 on selected products, you will receive $5 ECBs.
CVS Example
Transaction
2 Dove Lotion ($6.99) = $6.99
2 Dove Deodorants (2/$5) = $5.00
– Use two Dove Lotion MQ for $2/1
– Use two Dove Deodorant MQs for $1/1
Total OOP: $7.98
$5 ECB Prints for next transaction
Total OOP = $7.95
– $5 ECBs for next trip = $2.99
