Week one of Ruble’s Preschool was dedicated to the Letter A, specifically as in “A is for Apple.”
He had tons of fun with the Do-A-Dot Markers
And I do mean TONS of fun. I had to arm wrestle him to get them back.
This was his first time making patterns and it proved to be a bit much for him but practice makes perfect. We will make patterns a weekly activity.
Just because Big Brother Franc was working on “C is for Cotton” and we were having a cloudy day, Ruble had some fun with cotton and glue.
He was so deliberate in coloring a sun above the clouds and car and trucks along the bottom. Yeah, it may not look like that to us, but he said that is what those cute little scribbles were and I believe him.
After all, I’ve never seen anyone quite that happy over a cloudy day.
Other things Ruble did this week:
- Studied the Scripture “A soft answer turns away wrath” from Raising Rock Stars by 1+1+1=1.
- Played with Alphie
, the Learning Robot.
- Laced shaped buttons onto string.
- Practiced cutting and pasting.
- Matched uppercase and lowercase A.
- Traced an outline of the letter A in uppercase and lowercase.
- Worked on learning his shapes.
- Learned new words for different types of fruit.
