So, today is our big pumpkin estimation and dissection exercise. I wanted to write out my plan so I would not leave anything out and I also wanted the children to have a fun foldable to place in their lapbooks.

So, tada! I made one up and will share it with you!

There was one problem with the mini book. I could not fit enough folds on the printable unless I used a legal-sized page. I don’t know about you, but we don’t keep legal-sized paper in the house. So, here is how I fixed it.

Cut a small piece of construction pape the same size as the mini book.

Add a piece of tape to the back, joining the mini book to the construction paper.

Fold and have fun!

You could always use white paper and have the children color a picture of what the pumpkin looks like on the inside in this space. We will probably do that but glue a piece of white paper to the orange construction paper… just because I like the orange for a back page!

The only request for using these printables… I want to know how this works for you. If you like this activity, I was thinking about doing more things like this in the future.

Feel free to share your pictures in our Facebook community.

About Tabitha

Hi! I'm Tabitha! But, I bet you expected someone named "Penny." Long story made short, Penny is the coupon binder I started in 2010 when we were totally broke... as in BANKRUPT. Now, as a mom of five, I make 6-figures a year working at home and share ways to help you move from penny to profit while you raise a family with sense on cents.
