There is this little quirk about me.
I HEARD THAT.
I think my brother just said, “More than ONE!”
While that might be true, this one tends to surprise people.
When you live on the Gulf Coast, seafood is just a part of life, but I don’t like anything that comes out of the water. And, I don’t like to fry food. That combination can be deadly for a Southern Belle’s reputation.
The problem is that Bill loves fried fish, and I love Bill. So, after we were married for eight years, I finally expressed my adoration by frying a batch of tilapia. As I placed it on the table, he asked, “Did you buy tartar sauce?”
Huh? You buy tartar sauce? PennyMom always made it from scratch. So that is what I did too.
This sauce might be thinner than the store-bought to which you are accustomed, but it is easily made from ingredients you already have in your kitchen.

Method
- Combine all ingredients, stirring well.
- Refrigerate until ready to use.

Tartar sauce is something I have not made myself before, but I think it is time to try it, since my husband loves it. Your recipe sounds very good!
Thanks, Anita. It really is so simple and takes seconds. I could not stomach fish without it. 🙂
