I am so convicted about something and it is confession time. I think I have dropped the ball on reading to my children. Now, even as I say that, Ruble is pushing into my lap with a book. Please hold…

As I was saying, I think I have stopped reading as often as I should be with my children. Not necessarily Ruble because he is always crawling up on the couch with books for me to read, but I do not read near enough to Franc and Lira.
So, as a part of my commitment to read AT LEAST one book to them each day, I wanted to share some recommended reading with you each week. These will be Amazon.com links, and yes, I am an affiliate and will be paid a small commission if you click through and purchase but most of these books are also available at your local library.
One of the greatest gifts you can give your child is a library card with their own name on it.
Recommended Reading for the Letter A
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day ~
Always one of my favorites! It was one of the first children’s books I bought as an adult.
Big Al ~
A great book about diversity and seeing beyond the outside.
Follow the apple tree through the various seasons and weather all the way to the apple pie.
Learn about life from the ants point of view.
There’s an Alligator under My Bed
~
A cute tail of how one child overcomes his fear and triumphs over the alligator under his bed. Love it!

The A B C books by Moncure are also nice. I got mine from the local thrift store for .69c a book… great deal!
Reading a letter is a very important thing for us. If you read a letter, you will know what is written in it. Reading a letter is also useful for your schoolwork because you can learn from the letters of others. Read https://www.urdesignmag.com/lifestyle/2020/01/27/importance-of-coursework-writing-in-the-uk/ to learn the importance of coursework. I can’t imagine not being able to read. My mom always reads me stories before bed, and I would never be able to do that if I couldn’t read.
