Matryoshka dolls are the traditional Russian nesting dolls, incorrectly called Babushka dolls by many people. Why Babushka? Perhaps because that is the name of the headscarf tied under the chin of the Matryoshka dolls.
Intricately designed, many Matryoshka dolls are symmetrical in their patterns and that symmetry was the inspiration for this printable pack.
Premium Members get the entire pack for free in the Premium Content Gallery, but everyone can download one of the Matryoshka Symmetry Coloring Pages for Free Printable Friday.

Thanks for the link up! My daughter is crazy about Russian Nesting Dolls, so she will be so excited that I printed this out for her!

I believe they have been called Babushka dolls because that is the term for an elderly Russian woman. In Russia the dolls are actually referred to by both names (I lived there several years ago). Blessings Honey

Yes, the elderly women are called that due to the headscarf wrapped around and tied under the chin. 🙂
