Saving Money on Special Occasion Clothing

Share & Help Me Grow

spend less on special clothing

Easter is right around the corner and if you want to have something special to wear for church but have a really tight budget, you might need a few ideas on how to get those clothes for you special occasion for less.

Consignment ~

Most consignment stores have very strict policies for stains, tears, and holes. The items they carry must be clean and in good condition. However, these quality items are sold for just a fraction of the original cost and are often still very fashionable.

Sew It Yourself ~

If you know how to sew, you can pick up a pattern on sale at JoAnns or Hobby Lobby for just $0.99. Fabrics are also on sale by season. So watch your sales ad and go pick up the supplies you need when they are discounted. Normally, I have everything picked out before I even leave the house. I love browsing the patterns online at Mccalls and Simplicity.

Discounted Gift Cards for Retail Stores ~

At Gift Card Granny, you can purchase gift cards from popular retail stores for up to 59% off the value of the card. (You can also sell you unwanted gift cards there.) Purchase one of these cards and head to the store. You have already saved before you even arrive!

About Tabitha

Hi! I'm Tabitha! But, I bet you expected someone named "Penny." Long story made short, Penny is the coupon binder I started in 2010 when we were totally broke... as in BANKRUPT. Now, as a mom of five, I make 6-figures a year working at home and share ways to help you move from penny to profit while you raise a family with sense on cents.
