My family and I are very blessed to live in an amazing neighborhood and to show my appreciation for the friends I have around our home, I want to share a Coke on a hot day.
On any given afternoon, you can hear the whirring of lawn mowers even as the heat index reaches 113 degrees. Most of these people work long, hard hours during the week and can only take care of their homes on the weekend, regardless of the heat.
So, their dilemma presents me with the opportunity to share kindness in the form of an icy cold Coca Cola. Just a simple way to #ShareItForward.
Share a Coke on a hot day
Just load up a bucket, shoving some Coca Cola bottles down into the ice. Put your bucket in a wagon or take a slow drive around the neighborhood. When you see a thirsty neighbor working in his or her yard, stop and share a Coke. No reason. Just because.
Can you imagine the reaction you will get?
Our local Walmart hosted a tasting to reveal the new #ShareItForward bottles. Each bottle is personalized with a name and not just John and Cathy. I saw so many names that it would be impossible to list them all here in this post.
These personalized 20-ounce Coca Cola bottles can be found near the checkout area in Walmart. Now, while you are waiting for your turn at the cashier, you can have some fun looking through the bins checking to see if you can find the name of someone you know.
If you find one, get it and give your friend a surprise visit.
Of course, if you are in a rush, you can also stop by the vending machines outside Walmart and get a few 20 ounce bottles… and even save a few cents off the price you would find inside.
If you see someone panhandling close to the store, swing by these big boxes to purchase a soda. Our family will not give cash but a Coke and a smile can be helpful to a person in need too.
And once you are finished making your neighborhood a better place, remember to take a Coca Cola home and share it with your family.
How can you #ShareItForwad?

We have been admiring all the names on the Coke bottles, too. So fun to see the different names. They do make you want to share them, too. My kids just took one to a kid who calls himself a “Legend”. Yep, that bottle had “Legend” on it. So fun!
