#ExtraGumMoments #CollectiveBias
During the holidays, I get so wrapped up in buying for others that I often overlook the people who give extra every day. This year, I am intent on giving a little extra to those people through one simple act of kindness.
And don’t miss the free printable cards available below!
Don’t these 5 people during the holidays
Your Child’s Teacher
Visit your child’s school with a basket of Extra gum and one of the free printable cards (below) to leave in the teacher’s lounge.
Just a small gesture can create a smile on a very stressful day… not to mention fresher breath.
Your Mail Person
How many times has your mail person had to leave the warmth of his or her vehicle to bring packages to your doorstep?
Reward all those added steps with a package of Extra gum and a small “thank you” note. Mail carriers are not allowed to receive gifts of money or gift cards, but gum is always welcomed.
Your Waiter
We recently were able to leave a waitress a larger than normal tip, and it surprised her so much that she chased us to the parking lot to thank us.
Perhaps you cannot leave a 100% tip but keeping new packages of Extra gum in your purse or pocket will give you the opportunity to go just a little bit further than what is average.
Your Spouse
Remember those days when you and your spouse used to leave surprises for one another around the house?
Have fun this Christmas with your loved one by leaving unexpected Extra in places where you know he or she will find it. They will be sure to thank you later… when the kids are dreaming of sugarplums.
Yourself
I personally find chewing gum relaxing, especially during intense moments. Plus, I keep a pack in the kitchen for when cravings strike and in the car for freshening my breath after meals on the go.
It’s a little Extra-something that can brighten my day.
Give Extra Printable Cards
Share Extra with the very important people in your life and those who are often overlooked by downloading these printable cards to leave with packs of Extra gum as a special “thank you” gift.

Both sets seem to have Page 2 blank, no matter how many times I refresh the PDF?
Penny says
I think that was an error on my part. There is not supposed to be a page two. Oops. If ever you thought I had it all together… now you know that I don’t. 😉
Sue says
But I want the plain/non-holiday version one and page 1 of that pdf only has the apple/teacher version (2 of those on one page) – can I get the more generic one that is pictured in your first photo of this blog post?
Penny says
Hmmm… when I look at it, it has two columns on page one with the apple in one column and the other non-holiday (from the first picture in this post) in the second column making it four images on one page. Page two is blank.
Sue says
And now, weirdly, so does mine?
Thanks!!! Bought a box of Extra gum from Costco this afternoon for this purpose!

What a great post! It is so important to remember to thank the people in our lives who go that ‘extra’ mile. Thanks for sharing! #client

When you’re struggling to get through each day, it’s easy to be grateful for the little things—like a cup of tea and a warm blanket. But there are people who have done more than just lend a hand on the weekends, they’ve given of their time, money and resources to visit edubirdie on site for help you reach your goals. Every time you grab a cup of coffee or go out to dinner, remember them by dedicating this gratitude.
