A Frugal Family Fall Bucket List

Share & Help Me Grow

Fall is our favorite season. Living in the deep south, you really appreciate it when the weather starts to cool off and the sky is a brilliant blue. “October blue” is what we call it. The smell of the air just seems different. The sights of pumkpins and brightly colored leaves and apples… ahhhhh!

A really great list of inexpensive things that a family can do together in Autumn.

You can laugh but I actually have to hold Bill back from decorating the house too early. He start planning in late July when the weather is sweltering. He watched the calendar and marks it off. The first football game signals to him that we are getting close and then, finally, I will give the nod and off into the attic he disappears. Down he comes with boxes of leaf garlands and faux pumpkins. He vacuums the greenery over the cabinets in the kitchen and then gets busy making it gorgeous.

When the kitchen is perfected, he pops a bowl of popcorn and everyone snuggles up to watch Charlie Brown movies.

This year, he surprised me by bringing home two big mums. I HEART mums and I love this Fall-enthusiast hubby of mine.

If you are looking for something to put you in the festive Fall mood, check out my Ultimate Fall Bucket List for Your Family:

About Tabitha

Hi! I'm Tabitha! But, I bet you expected someone named "Penny." Long story made short, Penny is the coupon binder I started in 2010 when we were totally broke... as in BANKRUPT. Now, as a mom of five, I make 6-figures a year working at home and share ways to help you move from penny to profit while you raise a family with sense on cents.
