TOP TEN Things You Should Know About Me

Share & Help Me Grow

My life is an open book and I try to keep my spot here in the blogosphere very transparent. However, if you are a new reader or if you happen to be attending the 2:1 Conference next week, there are a few things you should know about me.

  1. I am saved by grace. My life was an emotional mess before I met Jesus and some days, it still is. But one thing is certain, Jesus has forgiven me and regardless of the mistakes I make, I am saved by grace.
  2. I have the most wonderful husband in the world. He actually said last night that he needed to pull his weight a little more around the house. I died laughing. Seriously, he bathes the children, does the laundry, takes out the trash, works a full time job, plays his horn on side jobs when he can, keeps an eye on the kids on Monday nights so I can blog… and he love Jesus with all his heart. (You should hear him play his saxophone.)
  3. My husband and I were never supposed to have children, according to the doctors, but we have four amazingly, wonderful, biological children. My God can do anything.
  4. I love to cook but I hate doing the dishes. Seriously, I could cook all day long if someone else would wash the dirties and clean the kitchen.
  5. My best quality is my honesty. However, honesty is also my worst character trait because I have no tact. Please don’t ask me what I think unless you really want to know.
  6. I hate anything new. I will probably be a nervous wreck by the time the 2:1 Conference gets here because I have never gone to a conference where I didn’t know anyone. I am so afraid of new situations that when I had jury duty, I made my husband drive me downtown, taking the exact route I should take, show me where to park, and walk me to the courthouse.
  7. I am afraid of anything flying at my face. Do not ask me to play volleyball. Give me a warning before you toss me the remote. Don’t splash water at me in the pool. I will get angry. You wouldn’t like me when I’m angry.
  8. I really don’t like to talk on the phone… but neither do I like to leave my house. I guess that makes me a hermit.
  9. I am addicted to chocolate and ice cream. If it is in the house, I will eat it until it is gone… especially it The Biggest Loser is on television. Glutton for misery.
  10. My name is… Tabitha. If you meet me in person and call me Penny, I will answer but probably smile. Penny is my coupon binder. Long story.
Oh… and just for an added kick… I love my family. I mean fight to the death to protect them, don’t you dare say anything ugly, my favorite people on the planet… LOVE my family and I would do anything to see them happy.

What should I know about you?

About Tabitha

Hi! I'm Tabitha! But, I bet you expected someone named "Penny." Long story made short, Penny is the coupon binder I started in 2010 when we were totally broke... as in BANKRUPT. Now, as a mom of five, I make 6-figures a year working at home and share ways to help you move from penny to profit while you raise a family with sense on cents.

LOL. It is going to be so awesome to meet the people face to face who I have talked to so often on Twitter and Facebook. I’m getting nervous.

We have several things in common! I was told I couldn’t have children without having surgery, but ended up having two just fine, with no surgery. I also love chocolate and ice cream! I hate washing dishes by hand, at least. Don’t mind it as long as it can be put in the dishwasher, lol! Luckily my husband hand washes pots and pans for me. And lastly, I’m scared of not knowing anyone at the conference! Good to get to know you!

Thanks for swinging by, Nancy. I’m excited and nervous and will probably be a basket-case by the time conference gets here. At least this will be the first year we will not know anyone. Next year will be a breeze!

So excited to meet you SOON! I’m not one to go busting out of my routine either and my husband is totally mr. on-the-fly. This will be my first blog conference and part of me feels like I know so many people through blogs and twitter that they’re not strangers, but part of me is really nervous because I don’t actually KNOW anyone. But I just know it’s going to be great!

It’s strange, right? Like meeting family that you have never met before? If I can just put one foot in front of the other… once I get past the first hour, I will be fine.

Hi Tabitha! I just read the story of Penny and laughed out loud…it’s so funny how things we say and write can take on a life of their own. Can’t wait to meet you at 2:1!

Nice to “meet” you – and thanks for stopping by my blog. 🙂 I am also a dish washing hater…it’s my least favorite task! #3 – so amazing! Our God is good! 🙂

I read the story about Penny as well & wanted to share – when I first saw your username on Twitter, I assumed your name was Penny too, haha! 😀

    See you soon!

I know… I confuse people with “Penny.” But, it just stuck. My husband and I laugh about it all the time because even my insurance agent calls me Penny.

I always wanted to name my daughter Penny (did I mention my last name is Lane) If they start a volley ball at 2:1 I will drive us to the nearest ice cream store cause I can’t catch anything either!
