My children can get a serious case of the gimmees when we draw close to any holiday. So, this Valentine’s Day, I want to teach them to focus more on others than themselves. Sometimes it is hard around Christmas to convince them that love is to be given and not just received, but I think Valentine’s Day will give us the perfect opportunity to show how to appreciate others through acts of love and kindness.
Our family will be using this Valentine’s Day Countdown for the children. Each day will involve serving someone else, giving someone a special gift, or just spending time to reflect.

The printable file includes a sheet of countdown numbers that you can cut out and glue to index cards or pretty paper. There are 18 cards pre-printed with ideas and two blanks so you can personalize the countdown to fit your family.
